The Kanithi family draws its roots to Sri Kaukulum district in Andhra Pradesh, India. For the past 70 years, projects and efforts were led by Dr. Kanithi Vishwanatham, based in Palasa, working to developing education and community health infrastructure at the local, state and national levels. With Dr. Viswhwanatham’s passing, the Kanithi Global Foundation was formed as a US-based 501(c)3 organization, to help carry his legacy forward, to continue to develop the education and community health infrastructure of communities in India, USA, and expanding globally to other key regions through meaningful partnerships with caring, capable and committed leaders and enterprises.
